Welcome to Cotton-Saginaw!

Cotton is an unincorporated community in Cotton Township.  This township is home to about 500 residents and is located about 35 miles north of Duluth, at the junction of Highway 53 and St. Louis Country Road 52.  The township was named in honor of Joseph Bell Cotton, a laywer from Duluth in the late 1800’s.  Cotton is generally consdered the halfway point between the cities of Duluth and Virigina.

Saginaw, located about 18 miles north of Duluth, is a small area with many surrounding communities, such as Twig and Taft.  Saginaw is just outside of the Hermantown area and is a heavily wooded area. Hunting for game and outdoor activites are this area’s strong suit which brings in many of it’s residents.

If you don't enjoy the great outdoors then both Saginaw and Cotton may not be the right fit for you.  Hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and country skiing are all in abundant when visiting these northern areas.

Elementary School: South Ridge Elementary School (PreK-6)

High School: South Ridge Secondary (7-12)
